Hallelujah Chorus
Beautiful photos & words! I love the changing of the seasons and am so happy when Spring blossoms each year. It’s so beautiful with all the color and life around and the seemingly endless sunshine. It’s inspiring. I love being reminded of beginnings & rebirth. Thank You for sharing!! 😀 ❤
After a cold, dark winter of gray-brown dormancy, the earth barely breathing, waiting faithfully for renewal and warmth that certainly must come, spring starts slowly; then quickly, it becomes a rushing torrent of life. Brought on by moisture and warmth, the wild exuberance of shoots pushing out from beneath leaf mold, unfolding leaves and birdsong, it is the hallelujah chorus of spring.
I find the coming of spring such a joyous time for the soul. It is rebirth after death, redemption after a trial that has pulled energy from one’s core.
On a day like today, dry and sunny, not a cloud in the sky and the temperature in the low 70s, life seems just about perfect. I walk at least a foot off the ground, treading on air.
And speaking of air, it is so fresh, smelling of earth and newly formed oxygen flowing from the vivid green grass…

Beauty in the World
Beautiful! My word this year for the one word challenge is “Beauty” and this post is perfect for the challenge. Thank you for sharing! It’s very interesting! 😀 ❤
What is beauty? Sometime it’s evident by obvious physical characteristics. Sometime it’s right in front of you and sometime you have to search. Sometime it’s beautiful from the beginning and sometime what starts out ugly turns into something beautiful.
Amid the tall palm trees and cerulean Atlantic shore, Castaway Cay would be a great place to spend eternity. At least my wife thinks so. This is where she would like her remains to be spread one day. The 1,000 acre paradise serves as an exclusive port for the Disney Cruise Line. I just hope the lush bougainvillea and Bahamian calypso tunes create a big enough distraction. My plan is to carry her ashes in a tequila bottle. She prefers Jose Cuervo. As I bask in the warm tropical sun, I will say good-bye one margarita glass at a time. Cade was only three years old on our first visit to…

ONE DAY
Beautiful. Inspiring. True. ❤ Each day is a blessing. There is no such thing as an unimportant day. Even ordinary, mundane, uneventful days are gifts. Every day matters! 😀
Then
This is so beautiful! It tugs at my heartstrings. It’s an amazing poem and can apply to not just grief & loss but to all of life. Things are so fleeting. It’s a great reminder to be mindful of and savor all that we have and to cherish the memories . ❤
80 Journal Writing Prompts
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing! I love journaling & art journaling prompts. 😀
Change
Change and just the idea of it can be scary but it can also be thrilling and beautiful and we can focus more on that than the fear.
Your post reminds me of the song “You’ll Never Know” sung by Ringo Starr.
” with every dawn everyday is full of chances
to find some good before it’s gone
you’ll never know which way a day is gonna take you
there’s always some surprise that comes along to shake you
a simple rule of thumb that’s often been neglected
is take life as it comes expect the unexpected”
I share this song somewhat frequently because it’s so true, inspiring, and beautiful.
I love the changes of the seasons and weather.
This is a beautiful post and beautiful photos!
❤
One thing we can always count on is change. Nature has taught me that nothing stands still. The way of living things is birth, growth, death and repurposing. Life is nothing more than a river of molecules passing through form. Forming and dissolving.
After I posted a graceful ash tree next to a stream last Sunday, that afternoon, I chose to walk that same beautiful trail for my afternoon amble. I was struck by the ironic timing of my post when I came upon this development:
Clearly the combination of the stress crack (visible in the first photo), moisture, rot, freezing and thawing over many years, yielded to the high winds we recently experienced.
So yes, change again happens in the forest in way that is evident to the human eye. The life force continues. I will witness the elements dissolving this tree slowly back to the earth, microbes breaking it down to…

Laundry, Earth Day and Meditation
This is simply beautiful! I love how you find so much beauty and pleasure in something that most seem to see as a chore or as now outdated. In my house, we don’t have a washer or dryer so we go to a laundromat but my sister doesn’t like her clothes to go in a dryer so my mom hangs hers out in the backyard. She sees it as a hassle though. Lol
It’s great that you keep up your sweet tradition in the face of all the changes and modern habits.
Many people just do what everyone else does just because it’s “the thing to do.”
I love the feelings of simplicity and bliss that your post provokes and how you incorporate a meditative practice into it. And these are beautiful photos!
Thank you for sharing! 😀 ❤
All my life, I’ve hung my laundry to dry on a clothesline when the temperature is 40F (4C) or higher. To some, it’s rather quaint and old-fashioned, but to me there is something reassuringly domestic about seeing clothes hung on a line, drying in the sun and flapping in the wind.
One can guess a bit about the people who live there; whether there are children or only adults, what they do for a living, maybe they dress finely or casually. It speaks of life in the current moment and fashion, a snapshot of their lives.
When I was small, my mother washed clothes for nine of us and all those clothes were hung on the clothesline to dry. Breezy weather was best of course, things dried quickly. In winter, the laundry came in freeze-dried, stiff as boards and had to be beaten into softness.

Who I am
Very inspiring and liberating! What a great reminder not to feel restrained by our past, our experiences, our current situation, labels…anything…and those are beautiful statues and great picture! 😀 Thank you for sharing!
Should we let the past
Define who we are today?
I am much more than the sum of my past.
And I let who I am today, speak for itself.
I am not the person I was then and I am not the person I will be tomorrow.
I am, who I am, right this minute. Nothing more and nothing less.

I also need to dust more often.
