The final verse of “If” reminds me of a movie I told you about once – “Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World” (http://m.focusfeatures.com/seeking_a_friend_for_the_end_of_the_world). Very funny, yet very sad movie. Like “If”, right in my sentimental sweet spot.
I saw that movie years ago in the Ritz theatre where they show only Independent films I think, it is a great movie! I don’t think I remembered seeing it when you mentioned it before but now after seeing your comment, I remember seeing it with my family. The song and movie do have a similar theme.
