I am… <3

(Not my photo)

Recently I have been seeing blog posts and Instagram posts where people share a photo that says “I am…” then go onto reminding us all how very powerful our thoughts and words are and give examples of positive “I am” statements: I am creative, I am strong, I am intelligent…

(not my photo)

I have known for a long while that thoughts are powerful and that it’s wise to watch how we talk to\about our own selves whether it’s in our head or out loud.

I rarely feel negative or unpleasant emotions or feelings about myself and even more rarely do I speak\think insulting or abusive words about myself. So when I ever do feel or especially think an unpleasant word about myself, I feel the very toxic effect of it instantly. I’m used to only thinking positive and feeling positive things about me. For as long as I can remember, I had positive self esteem in general, often even when I am depressed.

When I do think or feel unpleasant things about myself, it’s almost always just when I’m depressed and even then I’m careful how I think\speak about myself. When I was young and depressed I often abused myself with words and thoughts but not now. Sometimes still, usually when depressed, I let myself get consumed in feelings of worthlessness and pointlessness.

Anyway, recently I was reminded how powerful words\thoughts are. I have been sick for a few days. Physically. My sinuses are very sensitive since I was little and I get sinus colds and allergies sometimes, not as badly as some people but very uncomfortable on some occasions and sometimes really painful. Usually not very bad though. But recently my sinuses have been hurting really badly and then my throat started to become sore. Also, I have been very fatigued.

I kept thinking “I’m so sick, I’m so weak (physically), ” I am so fatigued!…” and each one of those thoughts, i felt taking even more energy out of me. The fatigue scared me. It was bone deep and so all consuming. I was reaching for a book on my bookshelf thinking “I am so sick” when suddenly I remembered that trend thing I keep seeing around with the “I am…” and how those two words are so powerful so whatever comes after them better be good.

And I thought to myself “I am…strong” “I am resilient” “I am optimistic” “I am beautiful”

And of course I’m still going to be sick and fatigued and whatever else because words and thoughts very likely won’t directly cure something but the point is to shift our focus to what is good, to place our awareness on our positive qualities and situations.

(not my photo)

This isn’t about denying or repressing or ignoring our unfortunate or unpleasant situations. That is unhealthy. But so is dwelling on them, feeding into them with too much of our attention.

Thinking positively generates positive, healing energy. And just makes it easier to cope with unpleasant things. So let’s list some positive “I am…” statements.

I am strong.

I am powerful.

I am thankful.

I am beautiful.

I am wise.

I am creative.

I am hopeful.

I am resilient.

I am optimistic.

I am fierce.

I am empowered.

I am enough.

I am confident.

I am compassionate.

I am warmth.

I am tender.

I am beauty.

I am Light.

I am sacred.

I am Love.

๐Ÿ˜€ โค

It’s not even a really bad cold, just unpleasant. But this cold gave me the opportunity to put positive thinking into practice and see incredible instant results and be reminded of a life lesson. And I want to share in hopes that it may inspire someone else. I am so thankful for all the people who have been posting the “I am…” things. We may not always realize just how deeply our posts on social media can touch others. Let’s keep sharing that positivity!

Much love & light to you, always!

There’s a place…โค

“It takes all different kinds of people to run the world. We need everyone.” โค

I saw this quote (don’t remember where; it was on a photo) and find it so inspiring.ย

“‘Cause there’s a place in the sun
Where there’s hope for ev’ryone
Where my poor restless heart’s gotta run
There’s a place in the sun
And before my life is done
Got to find me a place in the sun”

Place in the sun – Winjama (reggae version) – mobile

Place in the Sun – Winjama – desktop

There are so many kinds of people in this world and we need us all.ย

My dad used to watch the tv show The Sopranos every night a few months ago until all the seasons ended.

There’s a few episodes where a woman who is an FBI agent in the show pretends to be just a girl shopping at a mall I think, to deceive the girlfriend of a member of the Mafia so she can get information the police need.

They have been watching this man and his girlfriend for a while and an FBI agent tricks the girlfriend and they become close “friends.”

The girlfriend tells the agent things about herself and life she never told anyone, not even her boyfriend, because she feels so close to her.

The FBI agent is sweet and warm and very personable. She pretends to be a great friend to this other girl. Then the FBI people decide to tell the girl the truth, that this new friend of hers is no friend at all but actually an agent of the FBI who has been watching her and her man.ย

The FBI agent after confessing that’s what she is, all of a sudden is now assertive, no longer warm and sweet. She has a no nonsense way about her now. She’s all stiff and firm.

These are only fictional scenes in a tv show but real detectives and FBI agents for their job sometimes really have to pretend to be someone they aren’t and trick people, maybe even innocent people who get caught up in unpleasant stuff.ย

I was imagining myself in the FBI character’s place and think I don’t have the heart to ever deceive an innocent person or even not so innocent person who trusts me into thinking we’re close friends and we’re really not. I wouldn’t have a job where I may have to do that.ย

This girl is the lover of a member of the New Jersey Mafia but she’s just an innocent girl. She knows he’s a murderer and all and chooses to stay with him but she herself is just a regular person. She thought she had this new friend she was able to tell things to she felt she couldn’t tell anyone else, like the fact that she had an abortion years ago.ย

Imagine finding out your closest friend is a fake? Maybe you don’t have to imagine. It’s a heartbreaking situation.ย

When the FBI people approached her, not only was she terrified about the trouble they were in but she was heartbroken over the loss of “friendship” or what she thought was genuine friendship. I think this hurt her even more than the prospect of going to prison.ย

I felt a range of emotions when I realized I can never be like that. I felt thankful that I don’t have it in me to be deceptive and trick an innocent person. I also felt a tinge of envy that I don’t have that kind of aggression or backbone, I guess you can say, like some do, to have a job like that, even though I don’t want that kind of job. And I also felt gratitude that there are people like that in this world, those who do have it in them to trick and deceive for work or other necessary situations. I am inspired.

I don’t want to have it in me to do that but I’m so thankful there are people who do. We need them. We need people who have the ability to be aggressive and deceive people because it’s sometimes necessary, like for certain jobs including police jobs.

Police, attorneys, doctors, and other people of certain professions are sometimes criticized for being cold, aggressive, detached, deceptive, immoral….but it’s actually a good thing that we have people who have a place in them where they can summon feelings of aggression, detachment, and other things that may seem unpleasant.ย

We need people who can detach and not get worn out having to encounter so much suffering each day at work, like some doctors who have to work with dying people and dead individuals, detectives who have to investigate cases of homicide and other violence and horror….Imagine if they did not have the ability to detach or distance themselves to a certain degree. Many would probably experience burnout or breakdowns of some sort. This isn’t to say they aren’t compassionate or empathetic people ever, just that they have the ability to “turn it off” to a point when necessary. And it’s great to have people in the world who can temporarily put aside their general morals and conscience to do work that may call for it. Not everyone can do that. And for those who cannot, that’s good too.

It’s good if we have compassion and empathy and morals so strong and so constant that we can’t or won’t stop it. This world needs both, extreme empathy and strong sense of morality but also those with the ability to tune out of it in certain situations.ย

We need people with extreme empathy for criminals, like forensic psychiatrists/psychologists. By empathy, I’m not referring to compassion here. I’m talking about the sharp ability to be able to “get into their heads” and truly understand them, why, how they do certain things, how/why they feel certain ways, the ways they reason. It doesn’t mean the professional person is justifying any of it or taking pleasure in it. It may seem creepy that someone can understand a murderous criminal mind so well and want to do that kind of work. But it’s so great we have people with that strength and desire. We need them.ย

And for those who can’t even begin to understand the mind of a murderer and don’t want to ever understand, that’s great too! It’s great to be sane and good and “normal.”

In courtrooms we need people who have within them a place of aggression, maybe even callousness, people who can tear others to shreds for their jobs. Some jobs call for aggression, cold, clinical, ways. Warmth, softness, sap, sweet words and gestures are beautiful and needed in this world but not in every situation, not for every job, not with every person. ย

I always thought if I were in a position to need a lawyer, like a defense attorney, I would prefer a woman because girls can be so vicious! Girls/women of all ages, even generally sweet, warm ones, just can have a kind of aggression or potential for aggression that men don’t have and a job as an attorney requires aggression. How wonderful it is to take that and use it for good or to be productive, helping out our system and helping people instead of using it to drag each other down.

Some jobs call for extreme compassion and not much aggression, like schoolteacher jobs and nurses or doctors or other caretakers, nursing home staff…. and it’s great to have people who are generally very nurturing and mild mannered.ย

There are people who are very simple or generally lazy, not very motivated, or just don’t want to work much or not work at challenging jobs so have easy jobs (not everyone with an easy or no job is lazy or lacks motivation) and we need those people. We need professional people with big demanding careers and we need those with cashier jobs and janitorial jobs and desk (jobs which some see as “low” or frivolous)…..

I work at a store as a server and cashier and the job itself is unimportant. But it’s important to my boss to have employees helping with her business. And it’s important to the customers who come.ย

Imagine if no one chose to take jobs as a janitor in buildings or a cashier or food server because the jobs are too “low” or boring and imagine if no one chose to be a doctor because it’s too sad or gruesome or demanding. Imagine if there were no lawyers because it’s an “immoral” job.

Imagine if there was no one with the strength and courage to be aggressive, detached, deceptive, bold….

We wouldn’t have anyone to be lawyers, doctors, detectives….all of which we need.ย

In a fiction book I read recently (I don’t remember which one but it may be ASBO or Housemates both by Iain Wright {horror novelist}) there are these thug people, physically strong and aggressive and can overpower just about anyone they want. They are some kind of gang members or organized murderers and one of them tells one of their “victims” that he could never be strong or tough enough to do what they do.

And at first I kind of thought of that as a bad thing. Being wimpy and physically weak isn’t good. Just because we’re not gang members and don’t abuse our power over others doesn’t mean we’re weak or wimps but it’s good to be able to have the power and strength to defend ourselves against attacks by others. There’s nothing wrong with being strong and powerful as long as we don’t abuse it.ย

But then the character in the book says he is happy he doesn’t have what it takes to be a murderer or gang member, that he would never want to be.

There may be some people who don’t ever want to be in a gang or have a certain job but still wish they had the strength or courage to do that kind of work.

But this character is thankful he doesn’t even have what it takes.ย

It’s great to be “tough” and “streetsmart” and physically strong and bold but it’s also good to be innocent and not even have it in us to be like that. We need us all.ย

And we don’t just need everyone for the jobs we can do, but just for the beings that we are.

It’s great and ok to have outgoing people, shy people, those who are soft and those who are badass…

Short people and tall people, those with much energy and motivation and those who just want to keep it simple, loud and quiet, and those with a combination of characteristics, religious and non religious, light skin, dark skin, blonde, brunette, orange hair, purple hair, tattooed, pierced, hetero., homo., bi/pan, lgbtqa, healthy, sick, disabled, young, old, introverted and extroverted, financially rich, poor, homeless, jobless, career people and stay at home parents…logical, creative, spiritual, artistic, skeptical, grounded, idealistic, realistic, wild & adventurous, safe & cautious, romantic, dreamers, simple, complex, human, animal, insect……there’s a place for us all.ย
We can all teach and learn, all have hopes, fears, needs, desires….all ultimately want to avoid suffering.ย

People with less power or resources than us can teach us or remind us of compassion and those with more can inspire us.ย

Each situation we experience can teach or remind us something , awaken our wisdom deep within, each person can open a new door for us if we allow it.ย

We can see the positive in everyone and the worth of every being no matter the species, size, religion, color, status, nationality, profession…..if we pay attention.ย

We all have different weaknesses and strengths.ย

We all complement each other and bring balance to the world. There’s always going to be beings and situations that need and call for just what we can provide. Maybe it’s our compassion, our aggression, our softness, our bold personality, our determination, our calmness, our passion, our acceptance, our sarcasm, our soothing energy, our knowledge of ย seemingly trivial things, our ability to be deep and serious, our ability to be lighthearted and carefree, our simplicity or our complexity, our “tough-love” or our smothering, warm, sappy love ….that the situation calls for or that someone needs at the moment.

Not all of us can be or provide all of these things and that’s ok. We can all be and provide something when it’s appropriate. We all have gifts and skills that others do not.ย

If we or our beautiful qualities are not needed in a certain situation or not desired by a certain someone, it’s not because someone else or some other way is better. It’s just that different people and different situations need different people and things. ๐Ÿ˜€

There’s always going to be someone who is better for someone or something than someone else. And that’s ok.ย

The world needs us all. ๐Ÿ‘ช

We can bask in the beauty of our Oneness but also appreciate diversity and see the beauty in it. ๐Ÿ’™

Remember, it takes various kinds of people to run our world.ย

We need everyone. ย

This is a photo I made using an app on Kindle Fire. The bridge is mine. Well, not the bridge itself. That’s the Ben F. Bridge here in Philadelphia! It’s the photo that is mine and it’s blended into a background of a beautiful photo of a city, which is not mine (the city or the photo…at least I don’t think it’s my city…). The app can do some amazing things! I’m so thankful! ๐Ÿ˜

And also, I love the song! And the interpretation I have of it. I love how they seem so happy and simple with not a care in the world. I can relate. They don’t mind that they’re going nowhere. Lolย

It’s OK to not always have some big plans for the day or for life in general. Just sit back and take pleasure in the beauty all around each moment! โค

Under the hat

“Push through anything that would stop you.”

http://www.puttingourheadstogether.com/

The month of June is considered Headache Disorder Awareness Month and this organization “Putting Our Heads Together” has an Under the Hat project to bring awareness to chronic head pain. On June 25th we were supposed to upload pics to social media of ourselves wearing a hat.

Mine is late but better late than never! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here is a youtube video created by a girl named, Anna, about head pain and pushing through it.

This Day- mobile

This Day – desktop
So inspiring! โค

I don’t have migraine headaches but have another chronic headache disorder which is generally mild but flares up to seemingly unbearable levels and can be debilitating. It’s the stuff nightmares are made of.
I can have four kinds of headaches resembling sinus headache(this is the kind I experience in general), tension headache (least painful), migraine headache (second most painful but to me, the most debilitating usually), and cluster headache(most agonizing), and other kinds of facial pain.

There’s no known cure and not much effective treatment. Pain pills aren’t always prescribed by doctors to those with chronic pain and don’t really work anyway. And even if they work for some pain, it’s unfortunate to have to either live in agony or live all drugged up.

While mine is generally mild and I’m not always in pain, some have debilitating pain everyday or most days.

It’s so difficult to have to endure.

But we can learn to cope with this pain when it flares up and live with happiness and joy anyway. ๐Ÿ˜€

Some people with cluster headaches try to invalidate the pain of those with migraine headaches. Cluster headaches are considered by some doctors to be the worst head pain known to medical science and one of the worst kinds of pain known to medical science. They hurt worse than kidney stones. People who have experienced broken bones and childbirth have said it hurts worse than that. I have had kidney stones myself and can say, it does hurt worse.
I haven’t experienced broken bones or childbirth myself so can’t say for me but by the descriptions it does seem to hurt worse.

It feels like a hot poker being driven through the eye socket, like being severely burned, like our nerves being tweezed. I heard it described as feeling like a jagged edged saw rubbing over the nerves.
Yes, it feels like the worst hell on Earth. But just because it feels worse than a migraine headache doesn’t mean migraine headaches are not terrible. They are also a living hell.
And if someone only ever felt migraine pain and not cluster pain, those people don’t have the cluster pain to compare it to so to them migraine head pain is the worst. But some have felt both kinds of pain and both are horrible.

I believe no one’s pain should be invalidated and all deserve compassion.

To me, the cluster head pain is so bad it like makes it seem in a way, that everything else I ever considered pain is obliterated after I discovered this kind of pain. And when it’s flaring up, almost nothing else in the world matters to me and I don’t have a care in the world except that pain. But anyone suffering in any way is worthy of empathy and compassion. โค

My love & compassion go out to all with a chronic pain disorder.

And here is a song with funny lyrics:

Big Ass Headache – Justin Moore – mobile

Big Ass Headache – desktop

“I feel like Iโ€™ve been rode hard and hung up wet
Swallowed by a mule and crapped off a cliff
I drank enough whiskey to fill up a lake
Woke up this morning with a big ass headache
Yโ€™all I ainโ€™t kidding this son of a bitch hurts
Where the hell are my pants must be with my shirt
I still got my boots on but make no mistake
They canโ€™t help me kick this big ass headache”

lol!

Abandoned Dead

IMG_14173937_1

Sometimes the dead come back….

“July fourth, the fireworks are beautiful. Loud. Terrifying. I suppose it’s like life, love, sex, death.”

Recently I was looking through Amazon movies for Kindle and saw an amazing looking movie! It’s called “Abandoned Dead” and looks like the creepiest movie that ever did exist! I LOVE scary movies, especially supernatural thrillers! This movie does have supernatural overtones.

It’s considered a “B movie” like one that isn’t good, second rate, bad horror movie….and has terrible reviews! it got like two and a half stars out of like ten I think! :-O

IMG_14173934_1

The movie is about a young woman who is a security guard and suffers with a fear of nighttime and she’s asked to work the night shift at a creepy medical clinic she has never been to before. The girl doesn’t like being anywhere but home at night. She makes sure she only works day shifts. The clinic is located in a very bad neighborhood where there’s gangs and stabbings and shootings frequently. The medical clinic specializes is treating those afflicted with drug addiction. So there is breakins kind of frequently there because people who are addicted need a fix and in the clinic they have a drug used to help treat them.

The girl, Rachel, agrees to work the night shift to help out her coworker who needs off, even though she’s terrified of night. She has to work alone in the building that she has never been in before. Very bizarre things start happening. She hears whispers and someone saying her name now and again, strange phone calls occur, she hears someone whispering “he’s coming…,” and other strange occurrences.

IMG_14173936_1

Three people who worked at that very same clinic were murdered in the last two years, presumably by the same person. And nothing connects them but the fact that they all worked at that clinic at one point. A police detective is investigating the homicides late into the night but feels like he’s getting nowhere. They were all killed in a most gruesome way, in a similar fashion. And their hearts were taken out….while they were still conscious! They don’t show these scenes in the movie; we see the detective at his desk at night going over files and we hear his thinking voice. For the most part it’s not a gory, gruesome movie.

It is a strange, scary, fascinating movie!ย

I read some of the reviews. I like reading reviews for movies and books but they usually don’t influence my decision to read/watch something or not. ย If they are objective and say something I really don’t like then I may not watch/read it, like for example if it says the book or movie doesn’t have an ending and just cuts off. I don’t like when stories don’t have an ending. Even series, I prefer them to all be “stand-alones.” But I usually go through them to find more reviews similar to be sure instead of just going by one.ย

Also, maybe when the reviews say there’s no plot or real story and just a bunch of scenes thrown together, I may not read/watch.

But if the reviews just say something like “this movie/book sucks” I’m most likely not going to listen. That’s subjective and just because one person or even thousands think a movie or book sucks, it doesn’t mean I will think so.

Anyway, this movie has some BAD reviews!
Some say that the main character isn’t really well developed, like we don’t know much about her.

I do prefer characters in movies and books to have substance and be well described by the writer.ย

Some have said the camera lingers longer than necessary on the freaky scenes or something like that.ย

Others have said that the end doesn’t make sense.ย

I think someone said there’s not much of a plot.

Some admitted to not even watching the whole movie before writing an unpleasant review.

(I usually don’t think this is a good idea….at least watch/read to the end before criticizing! but there may be some exceptions though like maybe if the spelling, grammar, punctuation….is so horrible it can’t even be comprehended to get to the end…)

But I did not let any of these reviews deter me!ย

I just had to see the movie!

So I bought it on Kindle and watched it two nights in a row!

I just love it! What a gem!

IMG_14173933

The only reviews out of those I mentioned here, that I agree with are the ones that ย say the ending doesn’t make sense. It is difficult to interpret.

But after I watched the movie again, even before seeing the end again, I started to make more sense or it. It’s a great ending. A shocker and creative. ย

I still don’t completely understand the entire thing. Maybe it’s meant to be that way?ย

I did see a review saying it’s too slow, the movie. It’s only an hour and seventeen minutes long. It is kind of slow paced in a way but I love it.ย

We do learn more about the girl and her traumatic past. And the movie does have a plot or storyline that makes sense for the most part. But there are some confusing scenes and things that are open to different interpretations it seems.

I like the music that plays throughout the movie, it seems somehow fitting. It’s not creepy but still perfect for certain scenes. ย

IMG_14173927_1
I love the scenes where the police detective is running through the streets at night and strange things happen. I love the city lights and the feel of the night and his long tan trench coat. And the weird phone calls he receives whenever he runs past a public payphone.

“She isn’t safe….” in a weird voice!ย

There’s something lonely and poetic and beautiful about the movie, something I can’t quite explain, especially about the parts with the detective. Something about him being alone and frustrated late into the night trying to catch a murderer to keep everyone safe. He wears a wedding ring but we never see him interact with a lover of his.ย

The acting is good, the filming and directing all seem good. I’m not a movie critic though so don’t have the skills to truly judge the setup and all. But I still know bad acting and filming when I see it and this isn’t it! Then again, I’m very easy to please. It’s rare that I see a movie or eat food I don’t like!ย

This though, is a fantastic movie! I love it!

Great job! ๐Ÿ˜€

The reason I’m sharing this movie here now is, the beautiful quote above! It’s out of this movie. We hear the detective thinking it along with other interesting things.ย

I love the comparison with fireworks and life. Beautiful, terrifying, messy….

I don’t like fireworks, it’s true, they are loud and terrifying but beautiful.ย

They are horrible and dangerous and traumatic for some, but seeing the colors bursting in the night sky, the sense of unity and celebration among those watching….is beautiful.

Something similar can be said of life itself and the situations we experience in this life. Even though it can be terrifying and disturbing, it’s still beautiful and there’s always something good to seize and embrace and cherish. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful and happy. ๐Ÿ˜€

The power of positive thinking

SECOND BATCH 663 414

“Although extraordinary valor was displayed by the entire corps of Spartans and Thespians, yet bravest of all was declared the Spartan, Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that the Persian archers were so numerous that, their arrows would block out the sun. Dienekes, however, undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, ‘Good. Then we will fight in the shade.'”

I don’t like wars and other violence but I see much beauty and inspiration in this quote here.

The concept of not giving up when there are obstacles, not to succumb to negative thinking.

There’s almost always a bright side and if not, we can still be positive about it.

Just this strong conviction of mine is liberating and deeply inspiring.

Even when I don’t currently feel it, I always believe it.

We cannot always choose our circumstances or even always choose our emotions at this moment, but we can choose positive thoughts and actions that become a habit or strengthen our already optimistic/positive nature.
We can empower ourself with positivity!

Thank you to anyone who has written me comments recently! I will get to them shortly! I appreciate every single one! I’m at work now working two shifts!

Much love & light,

A beautiful question…

SECOND BATCH 663 414

I wrote this yesterday but just posting it now.

“Instead of asking why they left, now I ask ‘What beauty will I create in the space they no longer occupy?'”

I saw this quote today. So inspiring and full of so much wisdom.ย

Instead of dwelling on what or who we lose or no longer have around in the same way we did before, we can see this experience as an opportunity to create more beauty, filling our empty spaces or spaces no longer occupied in the same way, with that.ย

We can still have a space for people and things we lose either to breakups, death, just drifting apart…but fill the rest of the space with new beauty and new hope.ย

Loss can remind and teach us valuable life lessons. It can open us up to deep wisdom within. It can spark our creativity and motivate us to act and think in productive and positive ways.ย

When people/animals and things leave us, we don’t have to be dragged down too long. We can get back up and use this new space for something bright and beautiful.ย

This can be for any loss including loss of a job. If we lose our job, we can take the space and time we now have to build on ourselves, do something inspiring, find a new hobby, focus more on a current one, read books, volunteer work….until we can get a new job.ย

This can also apply to loss of ability.ย
If we are injured and temporarily bedridden (or even permanently), instead of sulking, we can come up with many interesting and positive things we still can do.ย Even if all we can do is meditate or think positive thoughts, feel the sunlight streaming through the windows…

It’s always great to look on the bright side. We cannot always prevent misfortune or tragedy and cannot always control our circumstances but we can choose to be positive about it even if we cannot feel positive right away.ย

We can still act in positive ways until we begin to feel positive and happy even in our unpleasant situation. Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful! ย

I hope your day is going beautifully or night if it’s night where you are! I still have much catching up to do with blogs & comments and stuff. This is my eleventh day in a row working, sometimes two shifts straight through with no break! I’m a server and cashier at a store and in Spring & Summer it can be very demanding. I don’t usually have to work this much. There’s no one else available right now. But I love my job and all the people! It’s just unfortunate that I have been slacking with responses to comments/e-mails and stuff. It’s not that I don’t have time, I just haven’t been managing it well. I’m working on that!

I deeply appreciate every message, like, share, and all that I receive!
Thank You!! โค

๐Ÿ˜€

Much love & light to you, always!

Magazine… Thursday???

1459798620540eSmart_4___fancy13

I totally forgot about magazine Monday! (lol that name is so cheesy! When I come up with something more clever or creative, I will change it!) I remembered when I woke up Tuesday morning thinking it was Monday morning! What a disappointment!

For the last two or three weeks I have been sharing inspiring photos I take of things in magazines. I look for positive things in “trashy” or degrading magazines or things that I put my own inspiring spin on. I meant for it to be every Monday but this week I forgot!

So here instead is Magazine Thursday! lol! ;-D

Some of these I may have already shared but they are the only ones I have access to right now. I’m at work but I have no customers at this moment. I’m getting more organized and prepared and will share new ones Monday (if I remember…)!

Carry the Uni-verse <3

(lol This face has been appearing in many of my posts in various forms! I love it! It’s a flower pot in the backyard and I take many pics of it, this one I distorted and put a bokeh effect and colored it. I use my camera now for pics but haven’t yet uploaded them to my comp. so don’t have very many pics to use until I do that soon! So the face it is for now!)

“Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.” ~Andrew Boyd

What a beautiful quote that rings so true! ย

๐Ÿ˜€

Compassion and Empathy can be painful but it's worth it! But it doesn't have to drag us down. We can learn to carry it well and use it for good, to help heal, inspire, uplift others in any way we can even in the most simplest ways like an encouraging word, an inspiring quote, a warm embrace….

Much love & light to you!ย

Beautiful thoughts <3

“To make your life beautiful, impregnate your thoughts with beauty.” ~Debasish Mridha

No matter what is going on outside, if our thoughts are laced with beauty, life will be beautiful. And we have the ability to choose how to think. Sometimes beautiful thoughts come naturally while other occasions we may have to work harder and make the choice to think positively.

“Fake it ’til you make it!”
