It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Philadelphia! Snow in October?! β π All these pictures were taken today! Lol
And it’s like 80 degrees here!
It’s fake! It’s a movie set. There’s a movie being filmed on the street I work! I had no clue what was going on, all this stuff that looks identical to actual snow all over the ground and falling out of the sky! βββ Police officers and lots of other people. And the street is blocked off and security people wouldn’t let me on the street but I saw little kids, in back of the ropes blocking the street, playing in the snow and someone filming them and I was wondering why these kids are allowed to play in this stuff on a street that is blocked off but I’m not allowed on the street to go to work?!? To go to my job! But they get to play! And why does this stuff look exactly like snow?! Then I later realized the kids are actors doing their own job. π€£ π I thought the camera person was their dad filming them playing. Lol It really just looked like a couple of kids playing and their dad filming them with an extra large camera(though he did seem a bit more professional about it π). I should have known something was up with so many people and large cameras and Christmas trees in October, then I realized they must be making a movie. Then found out for sure the next day when they rudely told me I was interfering with their filming. Well, I can say the same about them, you’re all interfering with my dogwalking. π π©
A few years ago here in Philadelphia no one was hurt, thankfully, but there was an explosion and some soft stuff started falling seemingly out of the sky and onto the ground and I thought something like that happened again at first when I saw the fake snow falling and police. But just a movie being filmed here in the lovely City of Brotherly Love. π It’s a Christmas scene being filmed. They are filming day & night. The street is all decorated and houses all decked out. There are Christmas π lights wrapped around the trees. The poor people who live on that street have to have their houses decorated whether they want it or not! And fake snow all over and tracked into their houses. Oh, well. I wouldn’t mind. My baby here in these pictures was confused and checking out the snow. He’s only a baby so I don’t know if he ever saw snow before for real. Lol He’s a very big lab puppy.
I got to meet Adam Sandler! π€©π
Lol jk But he is in this movie! π₯
And the snow is dry and warm. I felt it. Lol β Feels nothing like real snow. It’s powdery.
Anyway, they had to let me on the street. It’s an interesting experience to be one of the very rare ones in the city allowed to walk onto a movie set. I got to see “Behind the scenes!” πSecurity people weren’t happy about it but I am. And I am thrilled to see some Holiday cheer in October! πππ
π€Ά The actors and other workers were singing Christmas songs not as part of the movie, just for fun. Lol And they came to see my dog! πππΎ

Morning stroll with my babyβ€
This is my best friend & me on our morning walk yesterday! She is the sweetest girl! I love her to pieces! She is so deeply loving and so full of life. She loves to lounge around for snuggles and also loves to run around and play! She has a toybox full of toys and looks through it to see which toy looks good to play with at the moment. Too cute for words!
A lot of people are scared of her because she’s a big girl and very expressive and not social with humans or other dogs in general. She’s not a universal lover & only loves certain people. But once we have her heart, her love is boundless. I can just feel the love all around her when I’m with her. β€ She has the best loving furever home and the best mommies who love her completely. She’s a spoiled lil Princess!
I love her more than I love this life itself! She’s not mine but I love her just the same. I take care of her for her mommies while they’re at work and sometimes we have fun sleepovers together!π She’s my heart & soul!

She loves barking/jumping at the furballs across the street and I was telling her “no doggies.” Lol And like I mentioned on Instagram when I shared the video, I’m not six years old; I just sound like I am. Lol
Much love & light,
Xoxo Kimπ
It actually freaking happened!!!!

(Not my photo)
I wrote this a few days ago and lost the courage to post it lol
Ahhh, fuck me, it finally happened!
Is someone kidding me or what?!
If you read my post here, you’re not going to believe this but it happened!
I GOT STUCK ON AN ELEVATOR BY MYSELF!!!! lol I promise I’m not joking.
(I would probably be too terrified to joke about that! π²π¨π±ππ’)
I’m really amused. I’m just laughing at the irony. It reminds me of the Alanis Morrissette song ‘cept my ironic predicament isn’t nearly as grave.
“Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
‘Well isn’t this nice…‘
And isn’t it ironic… Don’t you think“
Somehow, somewhere in the back of my mind, I felt safe. As terrified as I was about getting trapped on an elevator by myself, some part of me believed with everything I have in me, that since I’m so scared of being trapped in one, it’s not going to happen. (This probably isn’t a statistically correct way of reasoning) What are the chances, right?!
Wrong!! It’s like the uni-verse got a consciousness and decided to play some cruel joke on me. Some twisted, sicko, psycho joke.
Tuesday, for work, I had to go to Center City, Philadelphia to visit this cutie:

When I got onto an elevator and the doors closed, I did what I really shouldn’t do and watched the digital floor numbers. When I watch, it feels like an eternity before they change. Just like waiting for food in an oven to be complete. Keep checking and it’s not getting done. Lol It just feels that way.
So anyway, I got on an elevator on the 4th floor, the doors closed, I watched the 4 and it was taking way too long to change and I told myself it’s just the usual thing where because I’m watching and waiting, it seems like forever. But no. Five seconds later, 10, 20, a minute (!!!!!) later and elevator is not moving and the red 4 is just there. Wwhhhaaattt?!?! And I’m waiting for panic to settle in.
But it doesn’t. I feel calm as can be. Wwhhhaaattt?!?! Me, stuck inside an elevator by myself and just a little tinge of anxiety?!?!
My heart began beating a little bit faster and my hands were a bit trembly but no panic or intense fear.
I pushed the “call” button and “alarm” button and they wouldn’t do π©. The call button made a brief ringing noise but no one answered. I kept pushing them alternately, call, alarm, call, alarm. The alarm did nothing at all and call kept ringing with no answer. One thing I found comforting was the fact that I heard the janitor through the elevator doors. So I started knocking loudly on the doors and yelling “excuse me!” But no one answered me.
Then the elevator started calling out floor numbers and its voice started becoming jumbled and it was quickly calling out numbers that weren’t showing on the screen and the voice was speeding up. Then the elevator started going up instead of down, which was what I was trying to do, go down to the lobby.
Then a new fear crept in. The elevator seemed to be going berserk and I wondered if it was going to drop & crash and crush me to death or something. So this is my death day, for a second I was really wondering.
When it got to the 10th floor, it finally opened!!! And there was a kind young man holding an adorable golden puppy in his arms. I got off the elevator and explained what happened and told him he may not want to get on that one since it was just malfunctioning.
He thanked me and expressed empathy and told me it must have been scary. He had no idea! Probably a bit scary for anyone but a girl with the phobic fear I struggle with!? Since he seemed so warm & understanding, I told him about my immense fear and how I worked on myself, including professional therapy, to heal the fear, and he was so understanding! So here I was spilling my guts to a complete stranger in a hallway. And he listened so well. Im so touched!β€
I thought I was going to have a complete breakdown. Not because I felt like I was going to. I actually did not feel that way. But because I’m me and that’s what I do at the mere thought of being trapped in an elevator alone, break down. Lol
But I’m still standing!
It hit me harder when I got home at night. Still no panic or breakdowns but fear & anger. Im not sure what Im angry at but it’s just so bizarre and twisted that my worst nightmare actually came true. Law of attraction much? Lol
I’m so freaked out and don’t know what to make of it.
And I’m not completely sure why I did not panic while in the elevator or after it was all over. Looks like all my personal development work really paid off! I wasn’t sure if I was just shocked and too numb to feel fullblown fear but even later after it was all over and the shock wore off, I still wasn’t a wreck.
But right now thinking about being stuck in an elevator, I can’t imagine not panicking. It seems scarier in my head than it is in reality.
I used to hurt myself impulsively if I thought I was going to be stuck in an elevator. I would be so overcome in terror, I would go into a panic and scratch myself with my fingernails until my skin would bleed or I would just squeeze part of my body really hard, like not on purpose but just automatically. I even did this recently on an elevator but Tuesday I did not hurt myself at all or even think about it or have an urge to.
For as long as I can remember, I have recurring nightmares, off and on, about being trapped on an elevator by myself or just having to go on one and being terrified. When I was recently stuck in one, when I first realized it was happening, it felt like I was reliving one of my nightmares that happen when I sleep. That feeling only occurred at first then wore off.
So nightmares really do come true! π
Isn’t it ironic?
A little too ironic. π
And reading this, it may seem that I was in there a long while but it was really less than five minutes. I felt more like it was an inconvenience than a terrifying experience.
Hugs to everyone who wants any!
Much love & light,
Xoxo Kim β€
No act of kindness is ever wasted β‘

I saw this outside of a bar this morning, while walking one of my babies. (An adorable pitbull!) β‘ When I read the first part, I automatically thought how sweet it is that a saying like that is chalked on the building of a bar! Then I quickly saw the last part and burst out laughing! Lol How funny!
Anyway, I very much agree with the first part! No matter how seemingly small or simple an act of kindness is and even if it’s not appreciated by the recipient of the kind act, it’s never wasted! It generates positive energy and is a beautiful way to live. Sometimes I see social media posts or hear people in person speak about how they are too kind and it’s not appreciated and how they have to stop being so caring. I hope people won’t stop being kind and caring no matter what. We need all the kind, caring people we can get! Why regret something we do out of love for others?!
I love this funny, lighthearted, & inspiring quote I came across this morning!!
I hope you are having a beautiful day or night wherever you are! β‘β‘β‘
Much love & light to you always,

Furfriend <3
If you love dogs then you’re in luck!
Here are a couple pics of my adorable boy, Woody, this morning! Β
(he falls asleep with me each night and wakes up with me each morning. Always by my side. <3)
And some doggy quotes!Β
“My little dog, a heartbeat at my feet”
(or across my face!) lol π
“Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never had a dog.”
“He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.”
“I love a dog. He does nothing for political reasons.”
Lol!Β
“If you can’t decide between a Shepherd, a Setter or a Poodle, get them all … adopt a mutt!” ~ASPCA
“Children and dogs are as necessary to the welfare of the country as Wall Street and the railroads.”
β€
"If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience."
~ attributed to Β Woodrow Wilson but I don't know if that is accurate. (probably not, I often copy & paste quotes and sometimes forget to remove the inaccurate names or state that I'm not aware of the accuracy of it. So much wrong info. Floating around cyberspace! And if we aren't careful, it's so easy to unintentionally perpetuate it)
"If your dog doesn't like someone you probably shouldn't either."
Lol right?! Unless your dog is one of those snippy little things who seems to loathe everyone in the world! I have a few of those!
Those little dogs are the worst! Β
"The more people I meet the more I like my dog."
No, I love people just as much! β€
"The average dog is a nicer person than the average person."
What's up with the people bashing? (I copied some of these quotes off a page that has quite a few quotes implying that people are no good) Most people I meet aren't horrible. And if we keep dwelling on how terrible people are and what's wrong in the world, it just perpetuates the negative energy and hostility.Β
How about instead let's counter their hostility with love? β€
And if we walk around thinking people are terrible, it may provoke us to have a defensive or negative attitude and contribute to us acting in ways (unconsciously or intentionally) that provoke them to act in unpleasant ways during interactions with us, confirming our view that people suck. On & on & on…
Also, by nature humans have more choices and abilities and less limitations than dogs. We can reason and think abstract thoughts. This can allow us to do more unpleasant (and pleasant) things than dogs. Like if I see someone do something I don't like, I can be rude about it, seek revenge, flip someone off, say something unkind….because my brain has that capacity. A dog's brain doesn't. It doesn't mean my dog is nicer than me. LolΒ
We just have a different nature in this way. If dogs could drive cars and flip people off and yell obscenities, you know they would! LolΒ
I see dogs getting pissed! They just can't react in all the ways humans can.Β
It doesn't mean they are better.Β
"Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate."
We don't have to. And I don't "hate" anyone or anything! Hatred is destructive. Sometimes it can fuel us and motivate us to act for the better but so can love & compassion. Hatred may influence us to act out it ways that destroy or put more negativity in the world. And it can eat us alive if we let it. It is toxic energy. Compassion inspires us to act lovingly. There are things I strongly dislike in the world but "hating" it does no good. Instead I have compassion for those wronged or who are suffering but it's my compassion for them I focus on more than the dislike/hate for whatever or whoever is responsible for the misfortune. And we are not incapable! That's disempowering. We all have the capacity to love, some just have not developed it more or ignore it.
Some people argue that if we don’t hate things like injustice for example or certain kinds of discrimination, we will not be motivated to take action, to help change things for the better. It’s simply not the truth. Love & compassion are motivation enough.
We mostly all have pleasant and unpleasant emotions, thoughts, feelings….in us and like the Cherokee legend says, it's the ones we feed that win. Let's feed that love!Β
"I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they choose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas."
Chihuahuas have big heads (not literally), those things can be quite vicious! They are usually the ones growling at me when I see them outside! Lol Woody is a pomchi (pomeranian and chihuahua mix and also part dachshund) and he does tend to get pissed off when things don't go his way! He's a yapper and a screamer!Β
He often wants me to go upstairs and lay in bed with him and yells at me at the top of the stairs until I go up!Β
He thinks he's a big watch dog and if he gets yelled at, he yells back! It's the cutest thing! Β
And he sometimes growls at my big pitbull and takes her bones! What balls! Messing with a big bully dog! He knows she doesn't do anything back and he probably thinks he's as big as she is.Β
He's the sweetest thing! As you can see in the pictures! He's sitting on me as I write this! β€
He loves bones and toys and is the biggest beggar! Lol He's a spoiled lil thing!Β
He chews EVERYTHING! He never outgrows it. All my clothes, shoes, earphones, phone chargers….ruined.
It sucks! Both him and his sister, Quinny, chew whatever they can get their little paws on. Β
Woody & Quinny, especially Woody, rip my pants off when I’m attempting to walk up steps, they hold onto my legs and it’s like those dreams where we’re trying to run and our legs are like too heavy or stuck, kind of like that scene in the Fred Krueger movie where the girl Nancy is trying to run up the steps but her legs are being pulled in the muck, like quicksand.
A Nightmare on Elm Street sticky stairs scene – mobile
They are bad to the bone, especially Woody. Their daddy, Emmy used to be bad but he outgrew it quickly. I don’t think they will.
But it’s ok, bad dogs are the best dogs! ;-D
I think Marley’s human said something of that sort. Marley wasn’t quite the perfect angel himself, I hear.
Him & his sister will be two years old in July.
We had him since he was born:
This is him as a newborn. Tell me is this not the cutest thing you ever saw?!
I was reading a horror fiction book, a supernatural thriller, recently one night and there are a bunch of pigs in the streets in Ireland and they were eating a human corpse (I know, eww!) and a little dog wanted to eat but the pigs are bigger and wouldn’t let him so he had to sit back and wait to see if he got any but the body was taken away. I felt so sorry for the little dog and Woody was sleeping next to me so I picked him up and hugged and kissed him, imagining the little dog in the Kindle book who was excluded! LolΒ
My mom said it’s good he did not get any and imagine being licked by him if he did!Β
π
“No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich.”
This is true. I have six (living ones) so am rich beyond my wildest dreams!Β
I’m blessed! β€
"If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then give him only two of them."
Lol true again!Β
So here is one of my little furfriends! β€
“I broke a thousand hearts
Before I met you
I’ll break a thousand more, baby
Before I am through
I wanna be yours pretty baby
Yours and yours alone
I’m here to tell ya honey
That I’m bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone” β€
