Bridge Over Troubled Water <3

(Ben F. Bridge in Philadelphia, Pa)

“When you’re weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes, I’ll dry them all (all)
I’m on your side, oh, when times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down”

Under the hat

“Push through anything that would stop you.”

http://www.puttingourheadstogether.com/

The month of June is considered Headache Disorder Awareness Month and this organization “Putting Our Heads Together” has an Under the Hat project to bring awareness to chronic head pain. On June 25th we were supposed to upload pics to social media of ourselves wearing a hat.

Mine is late but better late than never! 😉

Here is a youtube video created by a girl named, Anna, about head pain and pushing through it.

This Day- mobile

This Day – desktop
So inspiring! ❤

I don’t have migraine headaches but have another chronic headache disorder which is generally mild but flares up to seemingly unbearable levels and can be debilitating. It’s the stuff nightmares are made of.
I can have four kinds of headaches resembling sinus headache(this is the kind I experience in general), tension headache (least painful), migraine headache (second most painful but to me, the most debilitating usually), and cluster headache(most agonizing), and other kinds of facial pain.

There’s no known cure and not much effective treatment. Pain pills aren’t always prescribed by doctors to those with chronic pain and don’t really work anyway. And even if they work for some pain, it’s unfortunate to have to either live in agony or live all drugged up.

While mine is generally mild and I’m not always in pain, some have debilitating pain everyday or most days.

It’s so difficult to have to endure.

But we can learn to cope with this pain when it flares up and live with happiness and joy anyway. 😀

Some people with cluster headaches try to invalidate the pain of those with migraine headaches. Cluster headaches are considered by some doctors to be the worst head pain known to medical science and one of the worst kinds of pain known to medical science. They hurt worse than kidney stones. People who have experienced broken bones and childbirth have said it hurts worse than that. I have had kidney stones myself and can say, it does hurt worse.
I haven’t experienced broken bones or childbirth myself so can’t say for me but by the descriptions it does seem to hurt worse.

It feels like a hot poker being driven through the eye socket, like being severely burned, like our nerves being tweezed. I heard it described as feeling like a jagged edged saw rubbing over the nerves.
Yes, it feels like the worst hell on Earth. But just because it feels worse than a migraine headache doesn’t mean migraine headaches are not terrible. They are also a living hell.
And if someone only ever felt migraine pain and not cluster pain, those people don’t have the cluster pain to compare it to so to them migraine head pain is the worst. But some have felt both kinds of pain and both are horrible.

I believe no one’s pain should be invalidated and all deserve compassion.

To me, the cluster head pain is so bad it like makes it seem in a way, that everything else I ever considered pain is obliterated after I discovered this kind of pain. And when it’s flaring up, almost nothing else in the world matters to me and I don’t have a care in the world except that pain. But anyone suffering in any way is worthy of empathy and compassion. ❤

My love & compassion go out to all with a chronic pain disorder.

And here is a song with funny lyrics:

Big Ass Headache – Justin Moore – mobile

Big Ass Headache – desktop

“I feel like I’ve been rode hard and hung up wet
Swallowed by a mule and crapped off a cliff
I drank enough whiskey to fill up a lake
Woke up this morning with a big ass headache
Y’all I ain’t kidding this son of a bitch hurts
Where the hell are my pants must be with my shirt
I still got my boots on but make no mistake
They can’t help me kick this big ass headache”

lol!

Love for all <3

IMG_14173721(1)

(not my photo)

Love for all irrespective of religious views, political views, skin color, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, weight, size, disability, mistakes made, occupation, species, political/voting decisions, country, nationality…..all lives matter. ❤

In just about every group we can think of there's those who are good and those who act in not so good ways. Every religion and political affiliation and racial group has people who are compassionate and loving and generous and empathetic and those who are murderers, criminals, extremists, those who hold prejudicial attitudes towards others.

In every breed of dogs there are loving, gentle ones, and vicious ones who kill or would if they could or had the chance.

In almost every profession, we have those who are cold and uncaring and in it for money or image and those who are truly caring and want to help.

I don't care (in a negative way) which presidential candidate someone is voting for or what religion someone practices or believes in or none at all. It won't contribute to me loving the person less even if I disagree. While I have passionate views on some things, I can still love those with opposing views without feeling that my own are being compromised or that my sense of morality is being weakened.

And we don't have to judge a whole group of people based on a few or even many in that group. Even if every single person in a group is "bad" except one, we don't have to judge that one based on all the rest.

I wish love and inner peace for everyone. ❤

This is possible! We can have inner peace and true happiness no matter our circumstances/external factors. People who say universal love is a beautiful concept but not possible or practical probably don't understand the true concept. In its most basic form, it's wishing everyone the best no matter what. We can't all get the same job at an interview and won't all agree on things and some will be financially rich while others are homeless with next to nothing but true inner peace is about our attitude and positive decisions even if we have to "Fake it til you make it."

Even if we don't wish someone the best in that person's political endeavors because we have opposing views, or we don't wish the best on an interview because we want that job or hope our friend gets it instead of a stranger, we can still wish that person/s inner peace and true happiness in general.  We don't need the job to have inner peace and happiness.

Also, I believe most of us on every side of an issue have good intentions even if we seem stupid or vicious to each other. On issues like gun control, abortion, political candidates….we see so much viciousness and passion being used in a negative way. But if we truly think about it, we may come to understand that most of us want the same thing, a happier, safer world, people/animals stop being killed, an end to the violence, more love, more compassion, more understanding, autonomy. We just have different ways on how to go about it.

We can keep our passionate views and stand our ground, stand strong and firm and speak up for and speak out against but still understand that on "the other side," their conviction is just as strong as ours and they too only want the best for us all.

We can passionately disagree and debate but still keep loving.

I want to promote love in various ways, "promote what we love instead of bashing what we hate."

Promote our side instead of bashing (constructive criticism is good) the other or those who promote it. ❤

~Love for all~

Earth angels <3

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” ~ Mr. Rogers

There’s always beautiful Earth angels to help us when in need and we all have the power to help, uplift, inspire in some way. It can be a sweet hug, a friendly hello, a warm smile, a helping hand, a compassionate message. It doesn’t have to be something “big” like material things, money….although that’s great too. But even the simplest gesture can brighten someone’s life even if only for a few moments. ❤

Thank You all the Earth angels who help those in need!! Whether it’s a paid/volunteer job or just in mundane encounters, thank you! ❤

Enduring LOVE <3

1464290543347eSmart_4___fancy26

“He drew a circle that shut me out –
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But Love and I had the wit to win;
We drew a circle that took him in!” ❤

I don’t know who the original author of this lovely piece is but it’s so inspiring and full of Truth.

“When they criticize you, love them for teaching you humility.

When they heap scorn upon you, love them for helping you discover your resiliency.

When they doubt you, love them for giving your dreams greater courage.

When they point out your faults,
love them for their accuracy.

When they wound you, love them for showing you your capacity to forgive.

When they try to stop you, love them for making your resolve even stronger.

When they cast you into darkness, love them for helping you discover your inextinguishable light.

And when you stand victorious, when your love has conquered the impossible challenge, invite them to stand with you so they too can see love’s power and possibility.”

Love doesn’t exclude or seek revenge or resort to loathing.

Let’s love, love, love, let love conquer the impossible, the negativity, the pain, the struggle, and include everyone into our circle of LOVE. ❤

Much love & light to you, always!

😀

Do no harm <3

“All beings tremble before violence.
All fear death.
All love life.
See yourself in others.
Then whom can you hurt?
What harm can you do?
He who seeks happiness
By hurting those who seek happiness
Will never find happiness.
For your brother is like you.
He wants to be happy.
Never harm him.”

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”~Leo Buscaglia

This is my sweet girl, Boobie! She’s a lil mommy! Isn’t she adorable?! She has boy/girl twins!

They are the cutest things! ❤

Here is a beautiful quote, one of my favorites! Dr. Leo Buscaglia is one of the most inspiring, beautiful people who ever lived. ❤

I haven't been putting too much into blogging because I have been working frequently and still haven't grasped time management well. So I have been not responding much to messages(which I will get to), not usually reading blogs I love to read(I will soon catch up!), and just mostly posting very brief posts and usually late at night. But it's still good because at least once a day, even on very busy days, I do post something inspiring that can apply to most people. I still love to inspire people and my goal is to share at least one beautiful thing each day. And I succeed with that goal each day.

Weekends are very busy at work but if I really try, I can be even better with keeping up with the blogging world. It's all about time management! 😀

Today, I have two shifts to work since it's Mother's Day and I'm the only one at work who isn't a mamma!
But I love working & would still love to help even if I did not love working so it's all good!

Happy, Happy Mother's Day beautiful mammas! ❤ 😀

I hope you are having a beautiful day/night wherever in the world you are! ❤

As long as the sky exists…

IMG_14173309_1

“As long as the sky exists and as long as there are sentient beings, may I remain to help relieve them of all their pain.”

One of the best things about Spring & Summer is the life that blossoms and appears all around. Life in the form of sentient beings like insects and dogs and people and other life forms, plants, flowers, trees…<3

Everything is so beautiful.

I saw this little kritter walking home today, outside of a bar on the street where I live. S/he can't or won't fly but can walk. S/he walked right onto my hand when I put it on the ground to pick her up.

S/he was walking towards the traffic and was also in danger of being stepped on by someone walking. I don't always stare at the ground when I'm walking but I look all around and happened to see this beauty. Cute little bumblebee! ❤ 😀

I put her/him in my backyard but not before losing her in my house! lol Luckily I found her again and got her safely outside.

IMG_14173307_1

She found this flower and got onto it then walked off again. It’s so cute!

😀

What a beautiful day! I’m off to work soon! 😀 ❤ ❤

Much love & light to you, always,

Criticism & Empathy

IMG_14170883_1(1)

“Whenever you feel like criticizing any one…just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.” ~F. Scott Fitzgerald

This is an interesting perspective and I agree for the most part. Sometimes criticism is necessary or good. Constructive criticism that is.

But it’s not always necessary. And not always good. Some of us really do have more advantages or experience than others, experience that helps us make better decisions or contributes to us ending up certain ways that others do not.

We may not even realize it. We all have walked  different paths in this life, experienced different things, have different backgrounds and upbringings, biology/genetics, opportunities and things that all contribute to us getting where we are right now. Ultimately it’s our choices (both conscious and unconscious ones, direct & indirect, the choice to do nothing…) that get us where we are, for the most part. But our choices are often influenced by various factors. Let’s try to go easy on the negative judging(not an order/demand, just a friendly suggestion)! This isn’t to justify callous and reckless actions, just to promote more love & understanding. It’s also not to say that some people are victims of circumstance or have no ability to make choices. That’s disempowering. For most of us, no matter what happens beyond our control, we have the power to choose positive things, reactions, attitudes…

For some, it’s much easier to make positive choices than for some others. Like cigarettes, alcohol and other drugs, for example. It’s usually a choice to consume those in the first place no matter what happened to us. We have the power to say no to drugs or to say yes to them. And some take them and never become addicted while others fall prey to addiction. It doesn’t make one morally better for not becoming addicted. Some are just more susceptible.
Anyway, some people are more likely to take illicit drugs than others, maybe someone who experiences trauma or depression or other painful experiences or someone exposed to drug use at an early age.

It’s their choice at first but maybe influenced by experiences that contribute to them giving into temptation.

I never considered taking illicit drugs or getting drunk or even drinking alcoholic things (with the exception of a few sips many moons ago). It’s not at all my cup of tea. But that doesn’t put me in a position to judge people negatively who make different choices than me, even lousy choices or those with grave consequences.

Homelessness is another example where it is so easy for some to judge. None of us are immune to becoming homeless. Any of us can be struck by some tragedy at any moment.

Many homeless people don’t have the advantages that many of us have. Some are severely mentally ill, some are struggling with addiction, some lost everything they own to a financial crisis, a housefire…, some don’t have families or friends who take them in.
I have never been in a position to be homeless. I have always lived with my mom and unlike some people’s family, she wouldn’t ever throw me out no matter how much trouble I can ever be. Not everyone has that advantage.

Homeless people do have the power to make choices even though it is probably very difficult and even if for now the choice is to take one simple positive step for the better and some have made choices to contribute to where they are now, either consciously or unconsciously. It’s not being cold to say that. It’s disempowering to say otherwise. We all, as long as we’re alive, have the power to choose.

Another example is people not having or displaying good grammar skills. I see so many people making fun of them and stuff. Must be great to be so perfect!

Not everyone has access to a good education, some have learning disabilities, some just really don’t care… So what?

We all have the power to make choices if we’re alive.

But not everyone yet realizes that and not everyone has advantages that make certain choices easy.

So before we judge others in cold ways, how about instead we love & encourage them?  In non condescending ways.

This quote is a great reminder to connect with our empathy and try to put our own self in someone else’s place as much as we can, and show love, compassion, encouragement instead of cold judgment. This goes for any person in any situation or making choices we disagree with.

Also here is a beautiful Country song! One of my favorites.

“I got rice cookin’ in the microwave
Got a three day beard I don’t plan to shave
And it’s a goofy thing but I just gotta say, hey
I’m doin’ alright
Yeah I think I’ll make me some homemade soup
I’m feelin’ pretty good and that’s the truth
It’s neither drink nor drug induced, no
I’m just doin’ alright
And it’s a great day to be alive
I know the sun’s still shinin’
When I close my eyes
There’s some hard times in the neighborhood
But why can’t everyday be just this good”

(everyday can be! It’s all about that attitude!) 😀 ❤

Earth. <3

I wrote this yesterday but it wouldn’t post so here it is today!

😀

“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with yourhair.” – Khalil Gibran ❤

Here are some pics I took a few weeks ago.

SECOND BATCH 663 320

SECOND BATCH 663 521

This is a place close to where I live near stores like Rite Aid, Applebee’s, Wawa… people throw trash all around the fence quite frequently. They have been doing that for a while.
Some open up their car doors and just throw all kinds of shit all over the ground.

Someone did that one day where I work recently, before I got there, threw all kinds of stuff on our pavement for me to have to clean up. Stuff out of the car like beer cans, broken sunglasses, chip bags, and so much more. How rude!

SECOND BATCH 663 516_1

Litterbug
Litterbug

It looks like someone doesn’t like it! Lol
I don’t know who wrote this but for a couple days in a row someone spray painted a couple of messages to the litterers. The messages do not seem to have a tone that is very kind.

Lol!

Something tells me the messages aren’t official government ones. I can’t imagine government officials would spray paint on a fence and call people idiots in public. It doesn’t seem very professional!

Those messages have been washed off now.

I wonder if the paint is environmental friendly. If not, it seems kind of hypocritical, wouldn’t you say?

Trash all over isn’t good for our environment but certain kinds of paint are not either!

Since it is able to wash off, it may not be detrimental.
I also wonder who washed it off.

Lol

And here are some pretty pictures of the life blooming all around us this Spring!

My sweet boy, Emmy. ❤

thirteenth 016_1

I like the reminders about not littering. I have never been one to throw trash on the ground but I can probably be more conscious of our environment in other ways. I think many of us can.

We can read labels on cleaning supplies, makeup, and other things to check if they are healthy for the environment around us and check to see if the companies test on animals.

We can be mindful of recycling and put things in the appropriate containers. Use less paper when we can (I hear it’s good for trees!), and so many other things.

It’s not just about trends and being preachy moralists. It’s about being true to our home, our Earth who gives us life and sustains life. Earth is living, breathing and it’s up to us to take care of it as best as we can.

(but I don’t freak out on people who buy things I don’t buy, like things tested on animals. I’m not stuck up about it. 😉 )

I hope you are having a great day/night wherever you are! It’s a lovely breezey but warm Spring afternoon here in Philadelphia! There’s nothing much more inspiring than seeing all the beautiful colors and trees and flowers all around. (of course I’m at work so can’t see much of it right now except for a couple trees across the street! Good enough!)

😀 ❤
